For the last month or so, I’ve been helping out at Leanna Lin’s Wonderland in Eagle Rock. It’s a cute little boutique that carries jewelry from local designers as well as a fine selection of vintage housewares. Upon the first day of working there, I noticed she had a green Moshi Moshi POP Phone handset. The Moshi Moshi POP Phone Series is made to look like retro phones but in super bright colors. I used to think those handsets were totally ridiculous and unnecessary. But then I thought about how I miss the feel of a good old phone in my hand. So I decided to pop in next door at Letters from LA, and pick up a purple one for myself.
I absolutely love it! It’s been a total dream to use. It’s great for anyone who likes to have long, lengthy conversations over the phone. It has a nice soft touch finish to it as opposed to that gross siliconey rubber finish. It has a really nice weight to it too. It’s a lot heavier than it looks. And the cord is a good length, long enough to be practical but short enough to not get tangled in it. Retailing at $30, it’s a nice little gift for yourself without going broke. My only complaint is the in-call volume is a little lower than your phone once it’s plugged in. So you’ll have to turn up the volume a bit. But overall, super fun!
